Nowadays， there is a growing interest in regional collaboration projects in which local cultural facilities such as art museums serve as hubs to create communities that connect people.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and the Tokyo University of Fine Arts， the driving force behind this trend， have teamed up to produce this book that summarizes the entirety of the Tobira Project is a social design project based in museums which fosters communities through art.
